3M or Orafol on a west façade in Tangier?
Both hold west sun. 3M has very stable clears (little tint drift) that WeAlu often fits on TFZ open-plan floors. ORAFOL has tints and reflectives that cost less for similar reject — useful on a whole villa.
The brand is not the criterion; the glass and the look are: a west office often wants a clear; a west bedroom can take a tint. We compare two samples on the sash, not on a screen.

Does the film void the window warranty?
Not automatically. Many joiners accept an interior film on single or insulating glass if the grade is compatible (not a high mirror on exposed double glazing). Exterior film or too much reject can raise a thermal-shock risk — that is what puts the warranty in play, not the fact of adding a skin.
WeAlu notes the glass type on the survey and tells you if we stay in a warranty-friendly fit. If unsure, we get written OK from the joinery maker before cutting rolls.

Is there annoying glare at night?
A reflective film mirrors on the brighter side. By day that hides the interior. At night, if the room is lit and the garden is black, you see yourself in the glass — especially on a strong tint.
On a bedroom or living room used in the evening, the workshop fits a clear or a light tint. Reflective stays for offices empty after 7 pm or for shopfronts.

How long does the glass stay out of service?
A standard sash often takes 30 to 60 minutes to film. Then it dries: allow 24 to 48 hours before pressing a blind against the glass or washing with plenty of water. Water micro-bubbles leave on their own in that window.
We work bay by bay: the rest of the room stays liveable. An office floor is often filmed in one day, desks shifted as we go.

Can you film only the hottest rooms?
Yes. WeAlu often films only west and south, and leaves the north bare. That avoids darkening the whole house for an afternoon problem.
We can also treat one « pilot » bay before rolling out the floor. The quote is per opening, not per villa.
