On a Tangier villa, do I need a stick or a unitised curtain wall?
Stick (grid assembled on the structure, panes set one by one) is the right default for a villa or small building: irregular openings, no crane, modest area, and a pane you can replace later. That is what the WeAlu workshop machines most.
Unitised cassettes (factory boxes lifted by crane) only help if floors repeat and truck-crane access is real. On a Malabata or Cap Spartel villa they cost more for no gain.

How is the lift schedule written on the quote?
A WeAlu quote states the lift type (garden articulating boom vs. truck platform), day count, access path, ground bearing and the glass storage zone. A villa garden often forces a smaller lift than a block site.
We add a weather buffer (westerly wind) and, if needed, street occupancy. Nothing is improvised on install morning: without written access, we do not lock the date.

Qualicoat or Qualimarine for a seaside villa curtain wall?
Qualicoat controls the powder-coat process. Qualimarine adds a tougher surface prep for salt air. First line, Malabata, Cap Spartel: we specify Qualimarine and stainless screws.
A villa further inland in Tangier can stay Qualicoat if salt exposure is low. The call is made on the survey, not a blanket “always Qualimarine”.

Who signs the AEV classification on a WeAlu curtain wall?
The AEV class (air, water, wind) belongs to the profile system, published by the maker. The WeAlu workshop attests that the shop drawing and install follow that class; we do not invent a factory AEV.
The architect or checking office then stamps the execution file. On a villa there is no “national” signature: each party signs its part — maker, workshop, project lead.

Why does a villa curtain wall mist in winter in Tangier?
Tangier winters are humid. Cold glass (single glazing or a profile with no thermal break) condenses room moisture — especially in the evening, heating on, bay open to the sea. That is mist on the room face, not a leak.
Insulating glass, a thermal break (such as S53RP+) and a little fresh air cut it down. Water coming through a joint, by contrast, is a seal failure: we keep that distinct from condensation.

When does a villa need a curtain wall instead of a large sliding bay?
When the void is more than one opening in masonry: a double-height living room, a full-height hall, a glazed stair, or a small collective façade. A sliding bay is enough for a standard opening.
