WeAlu workshop railings

Balcony, stair, CNC in the shop in Tangier

At the WeAlu workshop we survey the slab edge, CNC the posts or clamps, then deliver the laminated glass with a written install date. Villa, balcony, stair flight — Tangier first, 3–6 weeks.

Workshop railings in Tangier

A WeAlu run is not a national catalogue line : it is a balcony, landing or stair flight machined in Tangier, with anchors and glass chosen for wind and salt.

The WeAlu workshop CNC-cuts the aluminium, orders laminated glass to size, and writes the install day on the quote. No hotel tour : villa, balcony and stair first.

On the Atlantic or the Strait, a west wind means calculated thickness, the right stainless clamps, and a fix into concrete — not a bond sitting on loose tile.

Survey in Malabata, Cap Spartel, the centre or Cabo Negro : finished height, slab type, RAL of the joinery already in. Fabrication 3–6 weeks, install on the day we wrote.

Villas, clinics and a few halls across Greater Tangier — TFZ, TAC, Tech Zone, Tanger Med — send the linear to the WeAlu shop for glass cut to size, not to a travelling fitter.

What the shop machines

Four site assemblies

We do not sell a “national system” : the assembly follows the wind, the slab and the view. This is what WeAlu machines in Tangier.

  • Stainless clamps

The glass is the barrier. Open view — only on a sound slab whose wind load was sized at survey.

  • CNC posts

Qualicoat uprights cut in the shop, laminate between centres — stiffer on a west face and on a stair flight.

  • Handrail

A continuous CNC profile for the hand, glass as infill — villa cages and landings.

  • Site sizes

Height, angles, a gate, RAL matched to your joinery: everything starts from the survey, nothing from stock.

WeAlu jobs in Tangier

Railings for balconies, stairs, terraces

Three jobs the workshop sees most — villa first, not a developer tour.

  • Clamps (open view)

Clamps let the laminate carry the barrier. That holds on a villa balcony if the slab is sound and the wind was sized. On an exposed west face we often talk posts.

Ideal for Villa balconies, sheltered terraces, concrete slab edges.

  • Qualicoat aluminium posts

CNC posts, Qualicoat coat, glass cut to the bay. More stiffness when the sea wind comes in, RAL matched to joinery already fitted.

Ideal for Windy façades, stair cages, roof terraces.

  • Handrail + glass

A continuous profile for the hand, laminate as infill. Stair and landing work: angle cuts leave the CNC, not a site saw.

Ideal for Indoor flights, landings, villa walkways.

Laminate & Qualicoat

What the shop puts together

Every run starts from two materials : a PVB laminate at the site thickness, and aluminium coated to Qualicoat for Tangier salt.

  • Laminated glass

    Site thickness

A villa balcony usually needs more thickness than an indoor flight: wind and fall height decide, not one crate in the yard.

  • Qualicoat aluminium

    Salt hold

Posts, rails and covers CNC-cut, coated for marine air. We do not fit raw aluminium on a west façade.

Fix into concrete (slab edge or a grouted plate) after the survey. Tile stays only if sound slab is reachable underneath. Install day written on the quote.

Railings CNC-cut

The WeAlu workshop machines, laminates and installs in Tangier — balcony, stair, terrace — 3–6 weeks, date in writing.

  • Balcony & stair first

Villa, slab edge, indoor flight: that is the shop’s core. Not a country-wide “hotels & developers” offer.

  • Sized laminate

Thickness from fall height and wind (balcony ≠ indoor cage). PVB interlayer: the pane stays if it breaks.

  • Qualicoat RAL

Coat matched to your joinery (anthracite, black, white, other RAL) so it holds the salt, not just the photo.

  • Survey + written date

Sizes on site, shop fabrication, install on the day we wrote. Allow 3–6 weeks unless the glass is a special make.

Villa architects in Tangier

Villa drawings go through the WeAlu workshop for the run

We are not the national contractor for developers. We machine the run on the villa drawing : height, glass, RAL, anchor, install date.

  • Slab survey

Slab edge, tile, visible rebar, façade wind — the panel layout starts there, not from a catalogue sheet.

  • CNC & install

Posts or clamps machined, laminate to size, clean alignment, tidy site on the day written on the quote.

  • Readable quote

Finished height, glass make-up, RAL, anchor type: it is on the page, not a vague range.

FAQ — Railing site questions Tangier

Workshop questions about railings in Tangier.

Glass thickness, west wind, slab anchors, the quote and stainless clamps : what the WeAlu workshop answers at survey.

  1. What glass thickness for a villa balcony versus an indoor stair?

Not the same make-up. A villa balcony in Tangier takes wind and a fall height : the shop often starts from a thicker laminate (around 88.2 or 1010.2 depending on span and exposure).

An indoor flight has neither salt nor gusts : 66.2 or 88.2 is often enough, set to the handrail height. The survey decides — we do not keep one crate for both jobs.

  2. Clamps or posts on a west-facing, windy balcony in Tangier?

West faces take the Atlantic. Clamps keep the view, but they need a sound slab and glass sized for wind. If the survey shows a long span or a thin slab edge, the shop leans to CNC posts.

Qualicoat posts stiffen the run without closing the view the way a solid bar would. We decide on the tape measure, not from a catalogue shot.

  3. Fix into the slab edge, or keep the existing tiles?

The workshop prefers a fix into the concrete of the slab edge (or a grouted plate). Tile is not a structure : a railing sitting on ceramic alone will work loose.

We can drill through the tile into sound slab, or lift a strip of tile on the anchor line. That call is made at survey — photos and a slab section help before the visit.

  4. What is on a WeAlu quote (height, laminated glass, RAL)?

The quote lists finished height, the laminated-glass make-up (e.g. 88.2 PVB), the aluminium RAL, the assembly (clamps or posts), the anchor type and a written install date.

Usual shop lead time : 3–6 weeks after sign-off. Travel outside Tangier city is a separate line. Ask for a quote with sizes or balcony photos.

  5. Do stainless clamps hold up in Tangier salt air?

Yes, if the stainless is a marine grade (316) and not indoor 304. Facing the sea, salt pits 304 in a few seasons. The shop writes the grade on the quote.

Posts and covers stay Qualicoat aluminium. A fresh-water rinse after sea winds keeps salt crust off the clamps.

  6. Does the workshop travel outside Tangier city (Asilah, Tetouan, the coast)?

Fabrication starts at the WeAlu workshop in Tangier. Asilah, Tetouan and the coast (Martil, M'diq, Cabo Negro) follow photos and, usually, a survey.

Travel is on the quote. Farther than the north coast, we talk drawings and access before we lock a CNC week. This is not a national tour.
