Tangier summers mean open windows at night. WeAlu builds the frame in the workshop, powder-coats it to the existing joinery, then fits it in a short visit. Mesh can be re-stretched later if a pet or a knock tears it.

In the workshop we mainly cut two families: a fixed frame that stays on the sash, and a sliding frame that moves aside when you walk out. Roller and pleated come next, depending on the bay.

Two mesh leaves that run in a low track. You open a walk-through like a door and close it with one hand. This is the set WeAlu fits most often on Tangier terrace bays.

Light frame, mesh re-stretched in the workshop if it tears. We powder-coat the profile to the joinery already on site — anthracite, bronze or white — so the screen does not shout on the façade. A blind or solar film sits beside it, not instead of it.

Roller or pleated on a sliding bay in Tangier?
On a bay you walk through, WeAlu usually fits a pleated screen: mesh stacks to the side, the opening stays clear, the bottom track takes the traffic. A roller suits a bedroom window you open at night and close in the morning — the cloth vanishes into a small box.
We decide on the survey: head height, shutter clearance, and whether someone crosses with bags or a dog. We will not force a roller onto a 3 m bay if the box has no room.

Will the mesh survive cats and dogs?
Standard mesh stops mosquitoes, not claws. A cat leaning in or a dog jumping through will tear the net in one season. On those sashes the workshop tensions a heavier mesh (denser fibre, sometimes pet-grade) and fixes the bottom rail so it cannot lift.
If the mesh fails later, we re-stretch it in the workshop without replacing the aluminium frame. Tell us about pets at quote stage: it changes the reference, not only the price.

Can the screen share the roller-shutter box?
Sometimes yes, often no. A shutter already in place occupies the head: WeAlu checks box depth, side-channel path and curtain travel. If it all fits, we mount a twin roller in the same housing. If not, we fit a slimmer independent box on the face, beside the shutter.
We do not promise that from a photo. A fifteen-minute workshop visit avoids ordering a kit that will not go in.

How long to fit before summer in Tangier?
After the survey, the workshop usually cuts and coats in five to ten days for a villa set of windows. Fitting itself often takes a half-day: screws, clips, channel adjustment, and we leave the same day.
June–July slots fill up. Send sizes in April or May if you want open-window nights from the first heat. A standard sash does not take the room out of service: we work opening by opening.

Who takes the measurements — the client or the workshop?
You can send height × width for a first price. For fabrication, WeAlu comes back: the real clear opening is never the developer's drawing, especially on joinery already installed.
The frame is cut to the workshop size. An 8 mm miss and the mesh rubs or leaves a gap for mosquitoes — that is why we survey twice.

The workshop is in Tangier. We also fit along the northern coast: Tétouan, Asilah, Martil, M'diq, Cabo Negro, Larache, and villas around Tanger Med.
